Workshop 2017: Radiation effects on the immune system: an updated state of the art and future research needs

Practical Information for Participants

Danubius Hotel Astoria City Center is located in the heart of Budapest. It can be easily reached from the Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport by different means of transport.
As in all major cities, use caution and avoid taking a ride with strangers offering transfers to the city. Use either the shared shuttle (miniBUD Airport Shuttle Services) or the officially appointed cab company to service the airport (Főtaxi). There are also many private companies offering pre-booked limousines.

miniBUD Airport Shuttle Services
miniBUD offers a shared ride to any address in the city. Advance booking is available online and the service fee is always more favourable if you book a return journey.

Taxi
Főtaxi is the officially appointed taxi company to service the airport. All taxi companies use a fixed tarif of 280 HUF/Km (0.95 EUR/Km) in addition to the basic fee of 450 HUF (1.50 EUR) and waiting fee. A ride to the city centre should typically cost around 7500 HUF (24 EUR) depending on traffic conditions.
Főtaxi booths are located at the exit at Terminal 2 A & B. At the taxi rank in front of the stands taxis are parking continuously waiting for passengers.
Please be aware of exposing yourself to risk by using non-regulated taxi service providers.
