Immunmonitoring und Biobanking

Die Arbeitsgruppe Immunmonitoring (Leiter: PD Dr.-Ing. Dr. habil med. Benjamin Frey) arbeitet direkt an der Schnittstelle zwischen klinischer Forschung und Grundlagenforschung. Mittels Mehrfarben Durchflusszytometrie, der Bestimmung von mRNA-Expression durch Real Time PCR und hochauflösender digitaler dropletPCR sowie der Detektion von löslichen Proteinen im ELISA und /oder Westernblot werden in Längsschnittanalysen Patienten innerhalb von klinischen Studien detailliert bezüglich ihres Immunstatus und Strahlenantwort untersucht. Die AG ist in multizentrischen klinischen Studien beteiligt und selbst explorative und Placebo-kontrollierte Studien zur immunmodulatorischen Wirkung von Strahlung initiiert. Zudem ist die Arbeitsgruppe von PD Frey dafür verantwortlich Biomaterial der Studienpatienten aufzuarbeiten und zu sammeln. Dies wird in dem Qualitätsmanagementnorm-zertifizierten Labor nach Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)durchgeführt.
